PAULIE’S HOME

Epigrams

Paulie Capobianco’s home doubled as the House of St. Cono. Here, in his living room, is the actaul shrine of St. Cono. The women are present because it’s the Feast of St. Cono, a major sub-feast, effecting a couple of blocks at the edge of the old Italian section.

Otherwise Paulie lived there alone on the first floor, renting out the second floor. Paulie, a.k.a., Dukie was born in the home. It was his father’s home and is where the miracle of St. Cono occurred when Paulie was a child.
