Shea Stadium was set way off from the Junkyards in Queens, surrounded by thousands of parking spaces. When the Mets built Citi Field it was acreoss the atreet from the Iron Trinagle, where their offices would look down on a dirty loud and chaotic work zone of salvage yards, iron works and countless small shops. The leisure industry is now looking at the Junkyards as a nice place for a casino, which it woud be, considering Citi Field is right there now.
