A detail of the copper cross that is on display inside Saint Michael Church. When the church was constructed its depot was the tallest structure in the city of Cleveland. Over the years the huge copper cross has suffered a bit of damage. Common in Cleveland, particularly on New Year’s Eve, celebratory and random gunshots are the norm.
The display is part of an effort to restore the cross and get it, once more, on top of the 286 foot tall steeple.
