Yonkers is known as the “City of Seven Hills” including Park, Nodine, Ridge, Cross, Locust, Glen, and Church Hills. Nodine Hill is known for its large water tank and being the most densely populated and dangerous place in Westchester County. It’s nothing more than the classic melting pot neighborhood, and jumping off point for immigrants, today, largely Mexican. Almost all the housing are wooden tenements, packed into the hillside and prone to fire.
