The tree most likely grew from a sampling planted when the section of the forgotten triangle was heavily Hungarian. The house that it sits in front of was demolished in 2017. It’s on a road called Ambler and seven houses left a long three blocks stretch to the end of the street.
I would call the air and soil in the forgotten triangle for the last hundred years to be amongst the most toxic in the country. It’s ugly but it still survives, even being painted and strangled at its base.
