THE PERFECT LOCATION FOR A CHEAT SPOT

Epigrams

In 2020, on Grand Street, in the Forgotten Triangle section of town, is the ideal location for a cheat spot. It became more so after the street dead-ended right outside the door, because a parkway call the Opportunity Corridor was slicing through the Forgotten Triangle lands which, through unchecked decline, basically look like this or worse.

I took the shot on a Tuesday at 1 AM and it was fairly active. A lot of the clientele were a bit surprised to see a man with a film camera on a tripod for over an hour taking pictures. Fortunately, while in the Forgotten Tiangle, I’m known and a few guests recognized me so I got a clean pass to relax and get the job done. Even the owner came out to ask what I was doing.

And that was trying to match a shot from 2009 when they were more homes but definitely still it was the same old beat up Forgotten Triangle, formally the lower Buckeye neighborhood. Below, it’s the house with the flag hanging.

The house was finally abandoned in 2021 which is exactly what the owner wanted, hoping for some emminent domain dough from the highway built 100 feet from this home.
