SCOFIELD MANSION

Epigrams
I live it.

Levi Scofield was quite the man. An architect that was strictly top-shelf, he built himself a stone mansion on the heights over the city on the east side. Its last use, was a nursing home, and, for many years, stood vacant wile slowly being scavenged. Since the views of the cty were excellent, i crept around the old homes at the edge of the heights next to the Baldwin Reservoir for years.

Today the manson is in the process of some sort of restoration and will be saved. A building such as this, way out in the neighborhoods, left to stand for over 125 years in a gradual oraganic descent, and now preservation, explains much about the history of the city in the same time period. The structure itself is a map of the Rust Belt.
