NIGHT FOR DAY

Epigrams

In cinema, particularly in the 50s, the day-for-night technique, using gross underexposure of the negative, was ustilized, for various reasons, in many films.

Night-for-day shooting flips that around, although the flipping has nothing to do with any intent, beyond shooting very long exposures at night. This shot was taken at midnight utilizing an exposure of ninety minutes on Ektar 25 film in 1998 during the Golben Age of Color Film photography.
