IRON TRIANGLE ICON DEMO

The Feinstein Iron Works on Willets Point Avenue is demolished to create a gentrified landscape of retail, condos and apartments, coincidentally, next to Citi Field. During the Bloomberg years 23 acres of city land, leased to immigrant workers of all stripes since the 1930s, was sold for one dollar to Related Properties for development. All the shops, owners and workers have now disappeared in this area of the Triangle.
