The water tank was along East 152nd Street in Collinwood. The large factory structures were used as warehouse and storage space including flamable and toxic substances. When this shot was taken the complex had caught fire and was abandoned and later demolished.
What a lot of people don’t know is that this was part of the Jordan Car Company when Cleveland was vying with Detroit as an auto manufacturing center. Jordan Cars were unique for their time and innovations geared to emerging consumers who would, in a few years, be crushed by the Depression, ending Jordan’s run.
The plant was leased to different enterprises, slowly detriorating, parts were demolished as well, until a large fire in 2009. After that and the final demolition nothing remains of this manufacturing site.
