People, especially men, born in the Bronx, often have a special love for animals. Squirrels, chipmunks, pigeons, ducks, geese and all urban wild life puts them in a state of wonder. Check out the film, Five Corners. On Pelham Parkway the chipmunks are revered, so much so, that mostly human and religious figures decorate their fine home on the Parkway. The Chipmunks are that elevated in the Bronx, as to become almost mythological characters there.
Here, squirrels and chipmunks are taken care of so well by Bronx natives, that they have bought homes, and working mostly in the entertaiment industry, since all their food needs have been taken care of, fthey have climbed the evolutionary ladder significantly.
