In 1979 the home of Aristotle Walters, East 65th Street, Cleveland. This and another home he owned in the city, were a constant source of irritation for the county since it probably defied zoning rules, etc. but also clashed with his right to free speech, which kept the eventual seizure and demolition at bay for years. It went on for many years, until the mid-1980s when the county took control and demolished the properties.
Sometimes a home owner desires attention for their beliefs, and, before facebook, twitter and blogs, it was difficult to get the unvetted word out to the public.
