A late-Victorian twin house, built as a side-by-side duplex. Each family gets its own vertical half of the building, with a separate entrance, projecting bay, steep cross-gable and porch. Mixed materials, stonework, wood siding and decorative ironwork turn an ordinary two-family house into something far more elaborate—two houses joined together, each trying to hold on to its own identity.
