It’s about art. But this time the author got it right, so much so, he he nailed it. The title of his book refers to James Wait, a dying Black (West Indian) sailor on the merchant ship Narcissus. Similar to quite a few authors, Mr. Conrad wrote what he knew and a lot of what he knew was hard work, sailing around the world. It’s called realism.
