The drinking fountain at the Woodland Avenue Recreaton Center, one of the few remaining structures in the Forgotten Triangle. The rec center was the home base of Ken Johnson who had the second longest run of any council person, which was ended byconvictions resultig in prison.
The Italianette brick/terra cotta structure goes back to 1915 when the neighborhood was packed with stores, homes and Hungarians. It was bvuit as a bathhouse, since many buidings were old without plumbing.
